Today I saw this little guy while out pressure washing in Jacksonville.

I do not know one salamander from another.  Nor did I know that North Carolina has an official state salamander until I was informed so by my little children, (they know everything about critters it seems).
So here you go folks, the official state salamander of North Carolina.   The Marbled Salamander.
